What is Lactobacillus Acidophilus?
Lactobacillus acidophilus is a bacteria found in the stomach and intestines. Lactobacillus acidophilus is also one of the main 'friendly' bacteria's and is found in many dairy products, such as yoghurt. The bacteria ferment at an optimal pH of 5.0 and develops best at temperatures of 37°c. The bacteria was given its name due to its role in breaking down sugar in milk (lactose) into lactic acid.
Our Lactobacillus Acidophilus tablets
Bacteria is managed in CFUs (Colony Forming Units). Our tablets contain 550 million CFUs per tablet, the British cited value. Please be aware that some companies may use the American cited value of 0.5 billion CFUs per tablet.
Our tablets are provided in a very manageable size of 6mm, weighing just 150mg. Please be aware that taking this tablet with a hot drink will destroy the live bacteria and should therefore only be taken with cold drinks.
This product is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Please note - we recommend that both the 500 and 1,000 tablet options are more suitable for use by more than one person. This is to ensure that you are receiving full use of the product before its expiry date. For one person's use, we recommend the 120 or 240 tablet options.

Shipping is via Royal Mail 1st Class We dispatch orders on weekdays up to 5 pm. Royal mail quote delivery times 1-2 days for 1st class and 2-3 days for 2nd class. Delays can happen, If delivery takes more than 5 working days for a UK order - please contact us immediately. For Europe, orders can take 10-14 Days. We are sorry but we do not dispatch our products to the rest of the world.
